I have a hard time believing QT is serious about the whole thing. It doesn't sound like her. We must have pushed her over the edge.

You know, if this idea of paid membership takes off...that and the permabans would mean EI has done far more damage to itself as a community then any three trolls every accomplished. I never cease to be amazed by that pack of fools.
 
Sorry to disappoint you all but the uniform opinion is not only no, but Hell NO to pay to play and I hope like hell that QT wasn't serious. That is about the silliest idea I've seen come up!
 
I liked Pickle's suggestion that the more you payed the more warnings you would get before a ban with 500USD granting immunity to warnings.

I can still be pissed over an idea-especially a stupid one. Don't act like you've never reacted the same, my dear. I recall MANY ideas that pissed you off. Which is fine, really. I am pissed that this idea would actually be thought of, and put on the table. It's stupid, and only spells disaster if EI starts LIKING this "idea", and begins to take it seriously.

Wow. I can't believe you said that. Rarely a week goes by when you're not flying off the handle at EI over something. Lately your flights have been practically transcontinental in scope. Or perhaps you've forgotten that little sermon you gave the entire membership recently.
 
It is very interesting how some of the biggest screamers about how they want to protect "their" board from the mean evil trolls are now quite adamant that ExIsle isn't worth $5 bucks or any other dollar amount because it is just a place for people to post. Very interesting.
