The news keeps breaking in and they aren't talking about humidity or heat at all. We're getting serious storms now with very heavy rain, intense lightning, quarter-sized hail, strong downburst winds and - I'm not kidding - the ground is rumbling. Glad it is cooling off a bit but, wow.

This has been the wildest year - it is either storming or the place is on fire.
I would like very much to jump forward or backward to winter.
