I was never able to convince my late father it was NOT Carly Simon singing that atrocious theme, despite showing him documented evidence.

Not ST related, but interesting trivia: because of her use of the common meter, almost every Emily Dickinson poem can be sang to the tune of the Gilligan's Island theme.

Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me.
Our carriage held but just ourselves
And immortality...
 
Reviews I've seen on the recent episode of Slop Fest Academy made me realize something, and I'm not the first: Ben Sisko was a black father who abandoned his son and pregnant wife after telling them "I'll be back sometime..."
 
iirc that's a step up from how they had it originally, with Sisko just ghosting them altogether until Avery Brooks pointed out how shitty that was.
 
May be, man. My memory of that period is a little fuzzy.

Sounds like something Avery Brooks would say, though.

I haven't seen the ep, but I've seen things online about the family tree with no child after Kassidy, indicating that she may have lost the child. Something related to his "sorrow".
