Whole teeth flying at the camera? Really?
It's going to look even better when I watch it in 3D.Whole teeth flying at the camera? Really?
This film’s going to be contentious (but what the fuck isn’t these days?). Don’t care. I’m LOCKED in. Corenswet looks great as Supes, but honestly? Nicholas Hoult might steal the whole damn show. LET’S GO.
Loads for meWe posted within 3 minutes of each other lol (does my embed not show up now though? It says Firefox is blocking it for me.)
IMaybe there's set-up like his teeth are a tooth bomb that will explode if they aren't punched out.
This is 2025. Apart from the idea of there actually still being newspapers, Jimmy Olson probably has a drone.Maybe Jimmy Olsen is filming that scene wearing a jetpack!
I grok this completely. Captain America came close in the Marvel movies for a while, but Superman is just a whole different level. He's not just a guy in tights, not just a superhero. Superman is an aspiration. As the line in Superman, the Movie had it: "They can be a great people, Kal-El, they wish to be. They lack only the light to show them the way." That is the essence of Superman.Superman is a strange one for me though, since the character means so much. I'm not very objective. I can enjoy Marvel and Batman films without getting emotionally invested because, while I like the characters, it's nothing like the feelings and protectiveness I have toward Supes.
On that note, this is why I prefer the 1989 Burton "Batman" to the Nolanverse trilogy. Nolan boosters will say "It's more realistic and believable." And I say "you mean the story of a millionaire who dresses up like a bat and fights crime?" The Burton movies are unabashedly comic books. They're over the top. One critic at the time called "Batman" "operatic."...Also, as I’ve said before, I’m totally on board with the “comic book come to life” style this film is going for, which I think is throwing some people off....
