Mine Field Celebrity Deathday Thread

I read a lot of his Marvel stuff and he was always a writer I'd enjoy. He wrote a bunch of Star Trek novels too.
He also wrote a couple S2 episodes of Babylon 5. He was the one that gave us this unforgettable scene...

Yeah, his star trek novels are some of my favorite star trek novels. Especially "Metamorphis" where Data somehow becomes human.

Ahhh I was wondering who passed away. I saw one of those stupid headlines that wouldn't say who it was but I was too busy to click on the link.

I got my fill of MASH while staying with my mom. I do enjoy it more as an adult now tho.

His contributions to classic era Simpsons can't be overstated. Think of any classic music moment from the show? It was thanks to him.

Harris Yulin (88)

Fantastic actor. In so, so, so many things. Always rated him. One of those faces where you instinctively do the DiCaprio point every time he pops up.

Great film career of course: Scarface, Clear and Present Danger, Training Day, Multiplicity, Ghostbusters II, and countless others. Serious genre chops too: Aamin Marritza in the DS9 episode Duet. One of the most iconic performances in all of Star Trek. Also showed up as the head of the Watchers' Council in Buffy.

R.I.P.

I remember he made a great speech that got me pumped up in Buffy season 7...then they killed him in a hilariously bad CGI explosion (and it wasn't even the same building from the establishing shot exploding!)

Michael Madison 67, very intense actor.

Diago Jota 28, footballer.
