Countdown to the End of The World

I always thought this was a parody thread, Mirah. Honestly, who would believe it was the end of the world when we have Christmas and then New Year's? You know, time marches on and waits for no man or fool.
 
If I had to pick between the Mayan Apocalypse or listening to Christmas carols for a month, straight, I'd pick the Mayan Apocalypse. I don't even know what will happen in the Mayan Apocalypse. I just know it's better than these early and bad attempts at religious marketing.
 
Midwinter Marketing Festival = Christmas. That's how I've always viewed that holiday.

I'd take the Apocalypse any day. At least I can talk to the Four Horsemen about riding gear, and the finer points of horses and training in the staging area.

MMF/X-mas is just madness with frantic people in a spending frenzy.
 
Dressage? Yes! Enter at "A." If you're going to go on a killing spree, then at least do it with style and panache. Wow the mortals with the pre-event show.
 
You say that as if we're really better off with Obama in the Oval Office. Libertarians, before the election started calling the combo, Robamney.
 
Also, Ann wouldn't have been doing that because she had to fire her trainer, because of that whole drugged horse scandal.

My mom is good friends with a former olympic dressage judge, who works the competition circuit in the Northeast.

Horses are awesome, but I only have the patience for western saddle. I've tried dressage and english (not any hunter-jumper lol), but I prefer my cowboy style.
 
Romney himself may not have been that different from Obama (which I strongly dispute), but in terms of the party he was fronting (as opposed to leading), he would have been a talking puppet for the far-right crazies who were forcing their hands up his ass during the campaign. He would have been one of the worst Presidents in history. And even if he had managed to assert himself and toss the fundies and corporate vampires out of his cabinet, he would have been a one-termer with no support from his own party.

Democrat... Republican... they're both being anally fisted by the lobbyists. So deeply, in fact, they have actually begun to resemble muppets.

This joke would've been better if I had pictures of muppet facsimiles of the candidates, but they're not on the first page of google images, and I can't be asked to hunt them down.

I like how they set all those explosives even though they were flying two planes into the buildings anyway. I mean you'd think that would be enough.
 
Maybe they were worried that the jet fuel wasn't going to burn hot enough to melt the girders.

Fun trivia fact, the jet fuel burned hot enough to weaken the girders, but not actually melt them.
