...is a crock of shit, full of subjective theories not able to be proven.
Philosophy is snake oil tonic for self-deluded intellectuals.
That is all.
He who farts in church sit in own pew.
It might have had some use back when science was just superstition and folklore, but now? Not so much. For the most part, yes. Every philosophy concocted after the Hellenic period, definitely. Back then, though, philosophies were more than just mental masturbation, people actually lived by them. But yeah, all this post-meta-quasi-abstract-moderno-fusion-banana-sundae shit is just the bullshit university professors use to suck money out of universities.

I checked this out. A lot of common sense, with a smattering of religion for good measure, but nothing that revealed The Answer of the Mystery of the Hidden Truth, like most philosophy claims to do.
Modern science *can* teach us to live well; whether we choose to learn or not, is up to us.Most philosophies back then weren't narrowly epistemological, though they all incorporated some measure of that. Most of the classical philosophies were approaches to living well. That's something that even modern science apparently can't teach us.

I guess philosophy serves a purpose--it can give us the tools we need to form our own worldview. After all, what would America be today if the founding fathers didn't learn from philosophers like John Locke?
Just don't come at me stating your (meaning the great names in philosophy) way is The Truth. You couldn't, then I'd have to reveal the emperor's lack of clothing.
