Has anyone ever heard of this OS? Or should I get SuSe?

You mean Puppy Linux (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puppy_Linux)?

You probably don't want to use it, unless your only options are burning something on a business card CD or booting from a 56 MB flash drive, since you won't be able to install it.

I'd suggest trying out Ubuntu if you're just getting started with Linux.
